The Black Swan

He danced alone upon the lake

In all his majesty

As he stretched, twisted and turned

He was a magic sight to see

A fine figure he cut upon that sandbank

Showing just how graceful he could be

Black feathers glistening in the sun

As alone he danced for me

And as he turned to go

I could almost hear the music play

His dance lingering in my mind

As silently he glided away
